Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” - Hellen Keller
In today’s modern society, a clock serves the important role of maintaining structure and order in our lives. Unfortunately, it can also serve as a handcuff, keeping children at school and adults at work until enough precious time has passed, and we can all think of a time when we couldn’t stop checking the clock during a slow day. This piece in the Pimbleberry collection, however, inspires adventure for anyone who looks at it - encouraging you to break away from the constraints that time can bring. With a handsome world map embedded beneath the clock face, it begs the question: where should I travel to next?
This is a vintage 1960s Quartz Kundo table clock designed by Kieninger & Obergfell and manufactured in West Germany. The base and outer frame are brass, and the entire piece is in good condition and in full working order. A map of the world is shown in gold on the cream-colored background, and the world’s time zones are overlaid by 24 black-lined segments. The outer ring of the clock shows the time in the corresponding zones around the world.
Without question, this Kundo table clock inspires adventure and will be a distinct addition to any desk. Since clocks are such an important aspect of our lives, it is past time to enhance your relationship with them and add this handsome timepiece to your collection.
